Tim has been a keen sportsman since he could stand on two feet. Growing up in Invercargill, New Zealand, Tim played every sport he could. During high school and into his university years, he paddled many kilometres on the Oreti River, the Otago Harbour and Lake Ruataniwha in his chosen sport of rowing. Running became a solid cross-training discipline to maintain aerobic fitness.
Tim’s passion for exercise and a strong desire to understand how the human body can perform at its best led him to the University of Otago where he invested his time studying exercise science and nutrition, in between rowing training. After completing that degree with First Class Honours, and spending some time travelling the world, it still wasn’t enough. Hungry for knowledge and armed with the strong desire to help people get the best out of their bodies, Tim began his chiropractic studies in Auckland, New Zealand. With just the final year of his chiropractic degree remaining, Tim has a sound understanding of human biomechanics.
Much like James, Tim looks at the world of athletic performance through a different lens than many. His holistic and natural approach to health, coupled with his knowledge of physiology, real food nutrition and athletic performance are always an insightful combination of ideas to listen to.
In between studies and the time he spends with James Kuegler Coaching athletes, Tim competes in running events throughout the year. Tim writes training programmes and articles, shares nutrition knowledge at our workshops and webinars and can be contacted for one on one exercise nutrition consults, as well.
