I would suggest that when we see people running who are elegant and have great posture and cadence we notice that, whether they are running on trail or road, their form is the same. This points to the fact that there are fundamental factors of running that apply universally. When we consider the example of someone who runs economically we will see an upright posture, their head should be up, we will see a high leg turnover and a high centre of gravity. |

As the mercury rises during the summer months it is important to consider the positive aspects of training in the heat. Traditionally, running in the heat has been seen as an at best masochistic and worst dangerous undertaking. I would suggest that there are significant positives to training in, and adapting to, running in warmer temperatures.
