It's amazing to say that your health has EVERYTHING to do with your productivity.

You know when you get a good night sleep, eat foods that make you feel good, and get out in nature, you are more productive than if you crawl out of bed tired, skip breakfast, fuel yourself on caffeine and sugar, and stay inside under fluorescent lights all day. Even if you do one of these things it can effect energy, inflammation, injury, and performance in your life.

GOOD HEALTH = GOOD PERFORMANCE in Everything.

HERE are my top 3 tips to get you into the cycle for health everyday and all year round.
1. A "Program"
Call it what you will - but this is what you do everyday to ensure you start out right and make solid decisions. Have you seen "Limitless" - granted he's on a drug that will eventually kill him - but that aside he's laser focused, fast on the draw, and full of energy. It's what you do or "Your Pill" to get you to that point - I call it the 'program'.
HERE is mine for the morning: Wake up - Brush, floss, tongue scraper, lemon water, doTERRA supplements, exercise outside, mediation, yoga, breakfast - work with short breaks.

2. Fuel
If you don't know what you should eat - start out noticing what you do eat and how it makes you feel. If you are active you can get away with eating a lot more food - however some foods will increase inflammation in your body and hinder performance. Start witnessing what foods make you tired, stuffed up or bloated. Eliminate those foods, find substitutes, add in more veggies and then you will have a good idea of what makes you "go faster".

3. Yoga
A mindful mediation -  breath, body and mind.
You may only hear, blah, blah, blah, because I seriously feel like letting you know how much yoga changed my body and life would not make a difference. You have to experience it to convert. But I have to say I can look at pictures of myself before I did yoga until now and it's night and day.... Not only in my body but in my eyes.... like a focused awareness. Who doesn't want more focus? Which of course can lead to increased performance in LIFE.

A good combination of strategy and effort will help you to achieve peak performance in your career. By taking the right measures, you can achieve measurable results. Self-awareness, ability to stay calm under pressure, regulation over sensations, getting into the flow- are some typical traits of a high-performer. You should not force yourself to work harder, if you want to achieve peak performance. After setting realistic goals, you should break your ambitions into tangible actions so that you can achieve peak performance.
