ULtraspire zygos review

I have been looking for a new hydration vest for the last couple of years.

I want a hydration vest that is my go to pack that I can use for a multitude of events and purposes.

My criteria is that it has to be light as a lot of my runs are in Hunua running minimal with just  a jacket, keys, first aid kit and 500ml soft pack bottle. It also has to be suitable for mountain biking and capable of carrying a spare bike tube, bike pump, cable lock, thermals, gloves, gels, bars, phone, first aid kit and personal locator beacon. As I like to run off the bike I also need to fit in a pair of running shoes.I need pockets that I can access easily on the run with a 2lt water bladder.

I need a pack that fits snugly and doesn’t bounce around, one that is not so tight that it restricts my deep chest breathing while I am running.

The problem has always been that I only want one pack that does it all. I already have 1/2 dozen packs in a cupboard that were failures for one reason or another.

Then I found the new UltrAspire Zygos hydration vest. I love this pack. I use it for a fast minimal runs in Whitford forest after work. I have used it for 5 hour adventures of cycling and running combined. I have filled it up with all the compulsory gear that I would need for any ultra marathons or mountain races I may use in the future..

With an empty bladder it weighs in at 420 grams and includes large stash pocket on the back, quick stash pockets in the front, a large capacity main zippered compartment, 2 zippered wrap around side pockets,1 internal zippered compartment for keys, phone and credit card.

It comes with the trademarked O2 Sternum system that is easy to get in and out of with or without gloves on even with tired fingers. Ideal for all you multi sporters.

The Zygos is the bees knees, the cats pyjamas, the ultimate weekend warrior go to pack.

Looking for a new pack? Get one of these, I highly recommend it.
