The day kicks off by teaching you our best-practice warm-up and mobility routine.
5k benchmark run
A short (5km or less) run is used to assess your running and give us a benchmark to work from.
1.5 hour technique session
This provides one-on-one and group support to establish or re-establish your most efficient running style. This is based on a pose running/barefoot running style. This has been adapted by James through more than a decade of coaching and competing.
LUNCH BREAK
Q&A and training plan session
We go over any questions from the morning. James will also introduce you to his simple approach to highly effective training plans. This will help you to plan training yourself or to get the most out of working with a coach or squad.
The lunchtime discussion also touches on:
- Nutrition
- Mental training
- Footwear choices
This is a great time to get answers from a pro about whatever is on your mind about your running.
AFTERNOON
1.5 hour trail running workshop
Sharpen your off road skills with one of the top trail running exponents in the country.
This practical group session will provide you with the optimum techniques. It specifically covers hills, stairs, water crossings, cornering and reading the terrain. There are opportunities for questions throughout, so you can hone any and all aspects of your trail running that you need to.
We guarantee you will come away with renewed energy and excitement for your running as well as a wealth of new tips and techniques to get the most out of it.
